Christi Blood-White, O.D. has been working in the field of optometry since 2008 when she started working as an optometric technician in a private optometry clinic. She obtained her doctorate in optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. The experiences and knowledge she gained from her internships, externships, and residency programs, which include pediatric optometry, corneal disease diagnosis and management, ocular disease, post-operative co-management of cataract extraction, glaucoma management, and research, and primary optometric care make her a great addition to the LasikPlus Kansas City team.
Dr. Blood-White enjoys biking, spending time with family, and eating great food. Her husband is a middle school math teacher.

I have been in glasses/contacts for 32 years. My eyesight was -10 and -7.5. Couldn't see a foot in front of me. I have been wanting LASIK for awhile and Lasik Plus made it so easy. I was actually able to get my consultation and the procedure done in the same day! The procedure itself was fast and painless. Just some light pressure. I was seeing 20/20 after I took a nap. The staff at Lasik Plus were so sweet and walked me through everything. I will definitely recommend this procedure to everyone I know.
No real words to express how easy this whole process was for me. Great staff and minor discomfort- no pain. The nurse who assists the doctor through the procedure has the voice of an angel. *cool side note- I was always told if I got LASIK I would lose my ability to see close up in exchange for seeing distances. I qualified for LASIK on one eye can now see distances and still read that tiny fine print!
I truly have never made a better decision in my life. The procedure was so easy and nothing to be worried about and I haven’t felt pain once. The recovery is absolutely a breeze. If you can use eye drops, you can have this done no problem. If you’re scared to have lasik done or worried it’s not worth the cost, don’t be. You’ll be so thankful you did it!
