Andrew Makela, O.D. has been working as an optometrist since 2004, and has been with LasikPlus since 2005.
After graduating cum laude from optometry school, Dr. Makela completed an optometric residency in hospital-based primary care, ocular disease, and low vision rehabilitation. Dr. Makela is board certified by the American Board of Certification in Medical Optometry.
During his free time, Dr. Makela can usually be found spending time with his wife and four children. He also enjoys hiking, running and playing guitar.

My experience at Lasik Plus was excellent!! Friday, Dec. 13th was the day I got the surgery. On day 3, Dec. 16th, the day of my Post OP, my vision was 20/15. Thank you Dr. Allen and to all the other workers/employees who were very welcoming and supported me through the whole process! Before or after your surgery, you get a mini green bag that has the eye drop care, glasses/goggles, and strict instructions that really needs to be followed right away after the surgery so that your eyes heal properly. So, yes overall, It was easy and they have multiple (at least 4-5) payment plan options for those who can’t afford to pay all upfront. Also, you can choose the date for when you want your first payment to start.
The staff is very nice - they explain the whole process in great detail and answer all questions. Dr. Allen made me so comfortable the day of surgery. He explains the whole process before and as he is working on your eyes. I’m so happy I finally had lasik! Thank you to everyone at LasikPlus!!
