Dr. Erica Person is a highly skilled, board-certified ophthalmologist with over 15 years of expertise in cataract and laser refractive surgery, including LASIK and PRK. Originally from Nebraska, Dr. Person’s journey in medicine began with academic excellence as the valedictorian of her class. She earned her undergraduate degree with honors from Washington University in St. Louis before completing her master’s degree and medical education at Saint Louis University. She honed her surgical skills during her ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Dr. Person launched her career by teaching residents the art and science of eye surgery as faculty at the University of Kansas. Transitioning to private practice, she quickly established herself as a leader in the field, performing over 10,000 eye surgeries to date. Recognized as one of America’s Top Ophthalmologists five times, Dr. Person is also a published author in multiple peer-reviewed ophthalmology journals, reflecting her commitment to advancing the field of eye care.
