David Jeng, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a general ophthalmologist, who also specializes in retinal disease, especially age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Jeng completed his ophthalmology training and residency at the top-10 ranked Doheny Eye Institute/Los Angeles County Hospital of the University of Southern California. Prior to his training, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University and received his medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine. Following his residency, he completed a fellowship at London’s prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital. A member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians as well as a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Jeng combines an impressive educational background and deep clinical experience with a strong desire to provide attentive, personalized care to his patients. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, scuba diving, and good food.

After initial fears and trepidations of having LASIK eye surgery, I told myself to go in for a consultation and if asked, do the surgery same day. They asked and it was too late to back out. I’m glad I chose to do it and I’m very glad I chose LasikPlus. Folks are super friendly and Dr. Rose is amazing. Dr Jeng performed the lasik and it was over before I knew it. If you’re considering lasik and have reservations like me, go in for a consultation. It truly is as easy as you may have already read about.

They provided superb medical advice and provided me with financing options to make better vision possible. I have been thinking about LASIK for several years but was hesitant to risk the surgery. I am a military retiree so I have been wearing bifocals until I retired and had progressive lens glasses from the VA. I have become more concerned about wearing glasses because of problems driving, traversing stairs, and other problems related to peripheral vision. I decided to visit LasikPlus after seeing it advertised by Aetna vision. I sat with Debbie for my initial appointment and was thrilled when she showed me how my vision could be corrected with LASIK. She patiently worked with me to get through the exam because I have a very difficult time allowing anything close to my eyes. When I came in for the procedure I was examined by a doctor who suggested I only get one eye corrected instead of the plan initially developed to correct both eyes. I was very impressed by the genuine concern she had for my welfare by doing the least possible surgery despite it resulting in less money for their business. The doctor suggested I only correct my dominant eye and see how it feels because I can easily come back to correct my left eye. After following my doctor’s advice I am throughly pleased with the outcome of my LASIK journey, for now, and won’t hesitate to come back if I decide to correct my left eye. The staff and doctors are knowledgeable professionals who really kept my safety and well-being foremost in their minds.
