Your LASIK Facility - How Often Will I Need to Visit With LasikPlus?
Your Pre-Operative Eye Exam
We will want to see you for a few different types of appointments. Your first appointment is a comprehensive LASIK exam to determine if you're a good candidate for Laser Vision Correction; we will refer to this as your "pre-operative" exam. Your first exam is typically 60-90 minutes, and it addresses important factors like: your concerns about LASIK, candidacy, laser prescription, costs, and the amount of time we need to dedicate to you on your day of treatment.
Your Laser Vision Correction Appointment
Once you decide you'd like to have vision correction, you will schedule your LASIK surgery appointment, or your "operative" appointment. You're more than welcome to schedule your vision correction surgery with your medical team at the center, after your pre-operative exam. You can also schedule over the phone with a LASIK counselor, or you can Schedule Your Free LASIK Exam. Please expect to be with us for 1-2 hours depending on your treatment needs. All patients are required to have a driver the day of surgery.
Your Post-Operative Exams
After your procedure, we want to see you for "post-operative" appointments. We want to stress the convenience of these appointments, because we want to see you after your surgery; post-operative appointment typically last 10-20 minutes. We also want to emphasize to you, as our patient, your "next day" post-operative appointment is extremely important to you and us - we want to see you! Your "ten day" and "ten week" post-operative appointments are also truly important, to determine the progress of your vision correction. With your medical team's approval and after your ten week post-operative appointment, you will no longer be required to attend post-operative appointments.
If you have a Lifetime Satisfaction Plan, you will want to schedule your annual ophthalmic exams with your regular opthalmalogist.
