Dr. Smith is not only an Air Force veteran, but also a Colonel with over 20 years of service in the U.S. Air Force serving as the Air Force Surgeon General Refractive Surgery Consultant and the Program Manager of the USAF Warfighter Refractive Surgery Program. He served simultaneously as the Chief of Air Force Cornea/Refractive Surgery Service and Director of Air Force Refractive Surgery Center in San Antonio.
